Stories from the Spirit World

For too long, people with spiritual experiences have kept their experiences silent, afraid to be called crazy or carrying a stigma into their work and relationships. Whatever your experience your story belongs here. My goal is to gather these experiences and look for the through-lines: the things we share across traditions, across the world, turning personal gnosis into something held common.

Share your story with the community:

Consent
I give you permission to share my story with my first name or user name provided in the "Name" field.
I give you permission to share my story but please keep me anonymous.
Please do not share this one publicly. I am sending to contribute to the community for research into shared gnosis.
If I share your story, how would you like me to handle it?
You may share it in full, including the methods, names, shared patterns, and marked details with respect in naming the tradition.
Share my story, but please do not describe the specific rites or methods. My practice is closed. Everything else is fine.
Share only in general terms (this is what happened, not how it was done, and minimal details about me personally.)
Which best describes your practice/tradition?
What is your story about?
What consciousness state were you in?
What is your method if in altered state?
SHARED PATTERNS. Tick anything that rings true, skip anything that doesn't, or you'd rather not share.

A note: This is NOT a test or a diagnosis, and nothing here judges or ranks anyone. We're just looking for patterns across stories to share with the community. These come from a mix of published research on spiritual and psychic experiences and the lore of many traditions about who tends to have them.

ARE YOU MARKED. Many traditions recognize a gift by its signs rather than by a test. If any of these are part of your story, tick them. Share only what feels right to share

A note: some of these signs have been used throughout history to single people out, accuse them, or do them harm. That history is real, and none of it lives here. A mark only means something within the tradition that reads it. Nothing on this list measures, ranks, or judges anyone. It does not mean you are "more" spiritual than someone who doesn't have any marks. We're listening for patterns across stories, to share with the community.
